A gravel ride through the Guilleries

Barcelona has just about recovered from the Grand Départ and we’ve got three new routes for you.

New route: The Guilleries Loop

A day rolling through the Guilleries. A bell tower rising straight out of a reservoir, forested tracks once used by the bandit Serrallonga, the perfect swim stop at the halfway point, and rolling compact gravel that makes us want to come back for more. 74 km, 1,785 m. Read the route here →

Two new routes with El Bidonet in Baix Empordà

We’ve partnered with Clara and Ignasi from El Bidonet to extend our reach into the Baix Empordà, an area they keep coming back to. Both routes are around 50 km, starting in Fonteta and with limited elevation. The first heads south towards the sea in Palamós and then back up through the Gavarres massif (optional breakfast stop at El Nuà). The second is a roll-and-stop route through medieval villages. Gritliner Spotlight: Judit

She teaches primary school during the week and writes for Nafent Magazine on cycling and the outdoors. Tour de France 2026, the other side of Catalonia

The first three stages of the Tour de France ran through Catalonia, Gritline’s sacred land. It reinforced the region as a top destination for road cycling but it didn’t shed light on the other cycling scene we care so much about: gravel. The pros were riding right next to the massifs that make Catalonia such a prime region for gravel. We wrote about it. Read the piece →
